I just completed my first registered bike ride activity (with GPS). It was a round trip and I traveled approx. 13 miles, but Fitbit only shows 0.54 miles (the distance between the recorded start position and end position of the activity). How can I get it to record the actual total miles traveled?

First thing we need to figure ot is why the ride was not tracked with GPS correctly. Did you really ride in those very straight paths?

I have been having similar issues for most of the last week, jagged GPS maps that are not tracking where I actually ran and hence giving me inacccurate distances. Just spoke with LiveChat who say it's a known issues their tech team are working on; unclear when it will be fixed. Let me know if you find a fix meantime?

@MikesBike I know you did not ride those lines, an was wondering why that wasn't mentioned since distance on the bike can only be measured with GPS.
Cell service has nothing to do with your teacher's ability to receive a GPS signal. Im not sure which phone you have but I have found that getting up memory on my Samsung phone I'd helpful. Fire me clear cache and swipe unneeded apps ot of memory. During the ride a quick glance at Tue writer will show three GPS status. If the is a line through the phone icon it means no GPS connection.
