2 different brand new Charge HR's will not turn on, have same exact issue

I bought one "new, unopened" Charge HR on ebay. It charges up to full, flashes green and screen turns on when plugged in, but when unplugged it does nothing no matter what I do.

I returned it, thinking it was defective, and got another new unopened one off of Facebook but having the exact same problem with this one as well. It was definitely unopened and sealed shut. 

Tried everything online I could find and contacted customer support twice to no avail. Anyone have this issue that can help me or do these both just happen to be defective?

Hi @LucaBrasiMN  the Charge HR was retired three years ago. Even if you have a sealed unopened box, it's possible that the battery died long ago. Also, after two years, Fitbit doesn't release any updates for them. Customer support can only help you if it's within warranty and/or purchased via an authorized retailer. Buying something used, even if it's unopened, is always a risk, sad to say.
