2-way connection not working on Charge 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

My Charge 3 gets notifications just fine from my Android (Samsung S10). Yet "answering" from the Charge 3 is always met with "Connection only possible with your phone close by, etc etc).

Phone is close by but the C3 answers are never sent. Where is the setting for this to work as expected?

@boswachter Thanks for being part of our Community!

Let me help you answering calls with your Charge 3. I suggest you refresh the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1979 here.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes, that was my first reaction, unpair, reboot both phone and Charge3, redo the pairing from inside the app... so far no results other than one-way communication.

On a side note, my Fitbit Aria Air requires me to reboot my phone before each use as well, otherwise no connection whatsoever.
