Hey Fitbit Team, Why all of a sudden there is a huge amount of Charge 2 Screen Issues the last several days under the titles of various descriptions in this community (this post dated as of 8-8-20).
My screen is gone blank as well, but the app records activity.
Are you Pushing out Charge 2 Owners to upgrade? Something is not right here. One issue of this kind is understandable, two issues of this kind needs a response with a solution, but several issues of this kind is a trend. How many other issues of this type are out there that people have not bothered to post in the community.
Have you internally downgraded support and care for charge 2 users?
After trying all of the solutions posted in the community, a speedy solution would be nice.

I got onto fitbit through live web chat earlier, they didn't offer any advice or solution on how to fix it other than the reset guide that doesn't work.
They did however offer me a 35% discount on a new tracker. It's not a fix but considering I was thinking about getting a new better version I can't complain really.
So if you want to get another fitbit after the charge 2 i would suggest getting in touch with them about your problem 1st in order to get the 35% discount.
It's better than nothing as my charge 2 was old now and well out of warranty. They didn't have to give me the discount or anything for that matter so gotta look at the positives.

Thanks for your response. I have had mine 3 years. It's suspicious to me that all of a sudden we have all of these "blank screen issues " within several days apart. I could be wrong, it sounds like a mass system update issue.

Just finished a chat with FitBit support, I have the same problem with a blank screen. As expected the reset does not do anything to help. I have now had 5 Fitbits in 6 years. So on average they last 14/15months, just outside the 12 month warranty period. How convenient!!!!. I was also offered a 35% discount on a new device. I will not be taking up the offer as £65 plus pounds for a disposable item is not good value. I am going to buy a cheap Chinese knock off, it will be interesting to see how long it lasts, but a £20 i can purchase at least 3 higher spec devices for the same as one Fitbit. So if they last more than 6 months I will be better off.
To add insult to injury I asked if the issue of long term reliability could be escalated. I was advised that the high ups were engaged in other matters and were not available. Well that says a lot for customer. support and service.
I will not be recommending Fitbit to anyone soon. Best of luck to those who persist with the product but after 6 years of poor reliability I am calling it a day.

Yeah i am totally with you on fitbit as I am looking into the Samsung galaxy active 2 a bit more expensive but s lot more on it , but if it happens with this brand I will also be going with the cheep ones ,too many fitbits going down with black unresponsive screens ,so bye bye to fitbit for me as well

you have to look at their marketing strategy. Shoddy product with poor reliability, offer 35% discount when it fails. Therefore provided their costs are less than 65% of the price of the device they are making profit out of the poor reliability. Given that the manufacturing costs for the change 2 can not be more than a few dollars, this a great scam. As long as customers make use of the 35% discount and therefore pay 65% of the costs they are locked in and funding poor product and customer service. For me enough is enough. I am kicking myself that it took 6 years for me to finally pull the plug.

My screen cuts off the top of the time and only counts steps, not much else. Thought it was just me... I guess not. Resetting does nothing.
