A lot of Calories burned but hardly any steps

I have only done 3400 steps today but my calories burnt are 1900... is this accurate?

It could be right.  Fitbit counts your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive.  These typ;ically count for more than half of your daily calorie burn.
