I bought my fitbit used, tried all the methods on the internet to "reset" it, however it does not actually reset for a new user. I got my 500 miles walked badge in my first week. I logged on to the dashboard and found even though MY user account is new, my fitbit dashboard shows badged earned over a year ago. How hard is it to clear data?
Very disappointed in my fitbit experience. The tracking works, but the app and dashboard lack access to delete erroneous badges or reset data.
Try harder fitbit!

I'm really sorry.
It happened because who ever you bought it from did not sync it before you got it.
Only thing you can do is sync it to this account one more time and open a new one with a different email
