Since there's no GPS on the Charge 2, how accurate is the measure of miles run, and can stride length, or other specific inputs be entered to more accurately measure distance from running?

Using just your fitbit the run distance is calculated by multiplying your step count by your stride length. Unless you override the defaults, fitbit calculated defaults for your walking stride and your running stride based on your gender and height.

Although I am not a runner, I am a keen hiker and I calibrated my walking stride length using a handheld GPS and I am happy that the distance is accurate to within a percent or two. If you would like to measure and use your own stride length then there's a help file for this at: Help article: How do I measure and adjust my stride length?

However, I realise that for many runners this method will not seen as accurate enough. Although the Charge 2 has no GPS, if you take your phone with you on a run your fitbit can use your phone's GPS to track the run. Fitbit call this "Connected GPS" and there's more information on it at https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1874/
