My Fitbit is not recording activity minutes properly. I'll work out for 50 minutes and walk my dog 3x a day at 20-30 minutes each and my activity level says zero minutes of something like 18 minutes.
I look at my logged exercises and they are there, but are not being translated to "activities."
Was on the phone with "support" for 1 1/2 hours. They finally said it was a known issue and to just wait and see or buy another fitbit. So their solution to technical issues is to give them more money and buy another one.
Anyone else have this issue and found a workaround? I already restarted the fitbit, uninstalled and reinstalled app. Still issue.

Mine has just started to fail to record activities. I',m having a new one sent out as replacement due to the cracked screen issue so will see if that resolves it.
Seems to be more and more issues being reported. Shame as mine has been great up until now.

Mine also does not record activities off and on. I went on a 35 minute walk last week and it never recorded.
I've had mine for 13 months and they refused to replace mine since it is a month out of warranty. BTW: Anyone in Europe who buys the same product has a 2 year warranty.
Apple Watch is looking better and at least I could walk into a Genius Bar and get support if it has issues.

I sometimes get credited with activity minutes when I’m not even wearing my Fitbit, yet don’t get credited with activity minutes when I’ve actually been exercising! It happened again today. I was credited with 79 activity minutes between 10am and noon when my tracker was on the table beside me, yet didn’t get credited with any activity minutes when I logged an exercise session from 8am to 9am.
Edited to add that, at the same time the tracker was on the table crediting me with activity minutes, the app also showed that I was “sleeping” for part of that time!

That is crazy. I That's a new one. Never heard about recording while off a wrist. 😵
I've downloaded Strava for Android. Testing to see if it records better than Fitbit app.

It is, but as inaccurate as the tracker is with a lot of data, it doesn’t surprise me. It’s also not the first time it has recorded me as sleeping when I haven’t worn it. I’m sure it will be suggested that it might have to do with barometric pressure or some other “excuse”.

Hey @betterandbadder @jed53, @PaulaBar nice to see you back on the Community.@Gotgoldbellini, @Angieh80 be welcome to the Community Forums.
Thank for sharing your comments about active minutes and activities not being recorded. I would like to clarify some important points about this topic.
@betterandbadder please take in count that active minutes are recorded, depending on your heart rate, kind of activity done, and other factors. The time that an activity lasts, does not always reflects the active minutes recorded. More information about active minutes can be read here: What are active minutes?
I've contacted Customer Support and they informed me that you already have an open case with them and that they are already helping you out.
@Gotgoldbellini @Angieh80, please take a look at this article, and if your Fitbit ist still showing inaccurate active minutes, please check that your HR records are being accurate during your activities.
@jed53 thank for sharing your comments, our team is always glad to receive your feedback.
@PaulaBar thanks for adding all the details about your Charge 2. As your tracker is recording activities while not being worn or while you are sleeping. In this case, I'll suggest to perform a restart and then let me know how it goes.
Please keep me posted.

I have restarted my tracker several times in the past, in addition to the various other hoops Fitbit and the moderators have suggested to fix the multitude of issues with these trackers. I’m sorry, but if I need to jump through all these hoops to have a product work the way it’s supposed to work, then it’s not worth it to me.

Thank you for attempting to address the issues, but we are venting because there is no fix for this right now. We are hoping there will be soon as it is an extremely important feature that many people depend on.

I received a replacement pebble last Tuesday and set it up on Saturday. So far, I’ve gotten sleep stages for two consecutive nights, which was one of the other major issues I had been having. I also have not been credited with floors not climbed, another issue I had been having.
As far as activity minutes being credited when not wearing it, I haven’t seen that yet, but it has only been a couple of days. I wasn’t credited with activity minutes yesterday (after logging about 60 minutes of exercise), but that may be because I didn’t meet the threshold for Fitbit’s requirement of activity level.
That being said, I received an email today from Fitbit support asking me to take a survey. I’m going to give it a few weeks of testing before completing the survey to be sure the replacement pebble does its job. I’m cautiously optimistic.

As the original poster of this issue, I STILL have problems with inaccurate activity minutes. None of the fixes have helped. This is such an issue that I am looking for an alternative.

Same here. Spend several days emailing back and forth with Fitbit, even got up the food chain a little with the customer service managers. The response was that they know it's a problem and that they refuse to replace it since it's over the "45 day" policy. So they admit it is defective and will not support it. Extremely disappointed with their service and communications.

@JuanFitbit Thank you, but I've already made several calls and will not be wasting another minute on the phone with them. They need to replace the FitBits, but won't. That's the only solution. "Working on it" is tech speak for, "we know, deal with it."
