Active minutes not recording.

I have just synced my Fitbit and the active minutes is staying at 0. This is in spite of already recording over 12,000 steps so far today and an exercise class this morning. How can I sort this please?

I am having this problem today too.   And it's happened in the past a couple of times. I'm also not getting an update for hourly activity.  Everything else has updated but not these 2 functions.  Help?!

I have tried the restart several times now, and it's still saying 0 active minutes. Looking back through my stats this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident, and in fact last week it recorded only 1 day of active minutes. Help?

Just an update . . . I was able to get the active minutes to finally calculate along with the hourly activity.  I use my phone for updates so I held the tracker right onto the phone and made sure that the phone didn't time out during the sync and finally the whole thing got updated.  I have a feeling that the sync was updating in the phone but not updating to the website . . . anyway, it got resolved for me.

I am having the same issue with my Charge...spoke to Customer service and they advise to reset...did that and no change.....no one from Fitbit support has responded to this issue

I have tried the reset and same, didn't work. I have now tried sync via the computer rather than via my phone app, but that hasn't work either. When I look back over my stats, this has been a problem off and on for a while now. Very frustrating!

I am currently using the Blaze and have experienced this issue on two separate occassions.  My device stops recording/tracking active minutes once I reach 478 minutes.  I set a timer and have run up to 600 minutes.  I am wondering if this is something particular to the Blaze or simply my device?  Has anyone else reported this issue?

Yes both my spouse and I have the blaze and I solved mine by doing a hard restart of both the phone and the blaze it worked for mine but not my spouses blaze. I have tried everything and cannot get the active minutes back

Thank you for the input. My Blaze will only register eight (8) hours of
activity even though I have run nine to ten (9 - 10) hours attempting to
beat my highest steps achieved. I notice that others register 500 - 800
minutes but I can't break the plateau of 480.

@tljacks8 @rontogburn @veneidig Welcome to our Community!

Hi everyone, I would like to clarify that active minutes are granted depending on the intensity of the activity you were performing specially if it a step based one and not for the length of it. Is not the same when you walked 15,000 steps during the day than when you walk 9,000 steps in one hour. You can read more about active minutes here. If this is not what your tracker is going through then please try restarting it.

@rontogburn When using a StairMaster or elliptical machine you aren't actually walking so your tracker might not detect steps for these activities but you can manually log them to have a record of the effort you did and the calories burned during the activity by following @Mcore's instructions here.

Let me know how it goes!

Try putting your Fitbit in your pocket while on elliptical. 🙂

My Versa has always calculated my minutes.  I been using this watch for a while now and I usually have 30 to 80 minutes a day.  For the past week, I have 0 minutes a day.  My hourly steps and not calculating either.  I am using Fitbit on my PC and cell phone and both are not working.  I have reset my Versa twice.  After the first reset I piled up 30 minutes, then the next day was 0.  Even the 30 minutes from the day before went back to 0.  Something is wrong.

I am also having that issue. I've done hard resets on my brand new charge 3, my app & my phone. I'm also having issues w/ the real live heart rate. Its recording on my fitbit but not displaying. Please advise & don't bother telling me to reset. Maybe it was the firmware update on the watch. How can that be undone?

I had 58 active minutes recorded, then it synced and sent me back to 0 active minutes.  My fitbit has been strange since the recent update.

I did a " long reset" and it has been fine. I think the instructions are in
this thread. I can just see the email right now but can look around to see
if I can find them if your stuck.

When you find this can you give instructions. I just got my fitbit yesterday and wore it on a 1.5 hour walk. I would love to know why active minutes are at 0
