Active minutes not recording.

I have just synced my Fitbit and the active minutes is staying at 0. This is in spite of already recording over 12,000 steps so far today and an exercise class this morning. How can I sort this please?

When I get home from my walk, I can see active minutes but, once Fitbit registers my activity as exercise, all active minutes and associated calories just disappear. If I delete the exercise, they come back. I've reset several times, made sure everything is clean and am now considering changing to another brand of tracker as this is the second Fitbit I have had and they have both stopped working properly after a couple of years. I'm starting to think there is built in obsolescence in the product.

It’s a Fitbit issue that seems unresolvable. I had to buy a new Fitbit. Very annoying but I am enjoying the new features of my new Fitbit.

I read your link.  I did stair master for 20 minutes in my cardio zone according to the Fitbit.  That should give me, according to your link, 40 active minutes.  It logged 21.

Then recumbent bile 39 minutes in the Fat Burn zone, gave me ZERO, yes ZERO active minutes.

50 minutes of weights with 43 in the Fat Burn Zone gave me 1 active minute.

so something isn’t calculating too well.  And yes I have restarted it

Unfortunately I had to buy a new Fitbit. It’s a few years now since this post is old.

I have the same issue. Even after playing couple of hours of active badminton games, active minutes is showing as 0. I have noticed that the heartbeat during the activities are not captured correctly. I have contacted customer care and replaced my fitbit sense couple of times. But the issue has not fixed yet. I will never buy fitbit again

I'm having this same issue with a new Versa 3. I previously had a Versa lite and it seemed to track everything well. This new version isn't tracking HR or calorie burn correctly. I was on the treadmill for 50 minutes, using the incline, and it reported a calorie burn of 66. That's about what I burn while sitting on the couch for 50 minutes! I've reset and reset some more, changed the wearing position, have uninstalled and reinstalled the app software with no improvement. I wanted this version because of the in-device GPS but am rethinking. I won't be buying another Fitbit. From what I can gather, their devices serve up correct data only a portion of the time.

maybe it's a way for them to force us to buy a new one. I have turned everything off and back on but no luck. i checked all of the settings and could not find anything. i am thinking about switching to something else. my band broke on this one and i bought a cheeper one on amazon.. it's not very good.

Then how do you explain this: Friday,  Saturday, Sunday, and today I walked briskly for 3.5 miles. Same route each day. Same speed. Friday and Sunday my Fitbit  recorded 50 active minutes. Saturday it recorded 13, and today it recorded 6. Same route. Same speed.

It is still happening over 6 years later that Fitbit is not tracking active minutes correctly . This is extremely frustrating that they still haven't fixed this issue and it's just another glitch that I will have to add to Fitbit's long list of glitches

Incorrect calculations of active minutes and 250 + steps per hour is frustrating.. I have tried many of the suggestions listed and none of them have solved the problem.. And to make it even more head scratching is that the app and the Fitbit don’t match; i.e., I walked on a Treadmill on an incline for 75 minutes, the watch showed 20+ cardio minutes - no active minutes on the watch or app. In 75 minutes 8k plus steps in the 1st 2 hours of the day - watch shows 9 of 9 hours of 250 + steps - app  shows I missed both of these hours. This is an ongoing problem as many have commented about it.
