Active minutes not recording.

I have just synced my Fitbit and the active minutes is staying at 0. This is in spite of already recording over 12,000 steps so far today and an exercise class this morning. How can I sort this please?

It works one day and stops the others, I really appreciate if someone can help in this issue.

Best Answer

So, it is a software issue then. Should correct that.

CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds.
Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen.
Remove the device from the charging cable.

Same here.
I wish Fitbit would fix their defective products before moving onto making a new product.  Instead of fixing their mistakes they carry their mistakes along with them to their next product line.

Best Answer

Same problem. Fitbit’s line of products has defective software they need to fix their product.

I clicked all the way in to the detailed graph of today's steps and when I backed out, the Active Minutes updated.  Don't know if it was a fluke.

We shouldn't have to continuously reset the device and reinstall the app over and over again. I noticed my minutes stopped being recorded when I upgraded to Premium.  I walk/jog/hike my regular trails which used to give me up to 120 minutes to find I have zero. I will not be continuing the membership if this is what happens.

Update: I have reset my Fitbit and reinstalled the app twice each today to no avail. I still have zero fitness minutes after 2 hour walk/hike/jog for the past 2 weeks. I cannot recommend Fitbit after this and will consider a different fitness device sooner than later.

I bought another watch, not a Fitbit. I still like Fitbit in comparison but I need something reliable

I wish Fitbit would stop this "just good enough" approach to their
products. What good is data if it's not reliable? Isn't that the point of
what they do? We could all just guess at how many steps we take, or how
active we are. May be more reliable in some cases. They seem to be
focused on selling the sizzle. Should be focusing on making better (i.e.
reliable) products rather than coming out with more features. So the
Charge 4 has GPS ... but does it work and record reliably?

I gave up on the HR2 a couple of years ago and didn't replace it with a newer version.  Too frustrated with what I had and resented the idea that I needed to "update" to get a working product.  Glad I didn't based on what I'm seeing in these posts. . . looks like the newer versions would be just as frustrating.  Fitbit losing out by not improving!!  Fancy looking but not worth the money for the functionality.  I'm an ex-Fitfit customer for sure!

Me too.  Must be an error with Fitbit and not our devices so hopefully they will sort it soon.

Hi my active minutes aren't recording either. I found going into settings on your device and choosing FORCE STOP for Fitbit works. When you reenter the app it updates. This does not last long. I have had to do it again the next day. I hope this helps.

Not really . . . why should we have to continually reset, force stop, uninstall, reinstall in order to get proper activity reports? Totally disappointed with Fitbit.

Hey, I don't work for Fitbit in any way. I don't like it either. I know
how disappointed I feel when I work hard and it isn't registered.

Thank you fir posting this because I rally thought O was doing something wrong. I walk 2 to 5 miles on Amy given day. I noticed a week now my active minutes are stuck at zero. It’s frustrating

I finally gave up on wearing my Fitbit for this reason.  What is the purpose of wearing one if it doesn't provide useful information?

I completed 50 minutes on a treadmill at 3mph and mine is registering 0 active minutes. I’ve tried resetting, updating, resyncing, nothing works.
