For trackers with altimeters like the Charge 4 the active focus group should include floors in addition to steps, calories, zone minutes, and miles. Heart rate is also important. The current application in configured in such a way that it is not possible to see all of these on one phone screen. Endless scrolling during an active workout is very inconvenient. My hands are busy.
I know the newer devices do not have altimeters so don't need to see floors so I can see why it is not a priority. That being said, \why not let users of older trackers keep the prior version which allowed inclusion of floors in the "focus group" and made icons small enough to get heart rate and two other parameters on one phone screen with no scrolling.

Hi, @CScrutinizer , you could try posting this in the Product Feedback Forum where users can comment on, and vote for, your suggestion. That forum is monitored by the moderation team and the most popular suggestions are passed on to the software engineers. I am not sure how much traction it will get, because, as you say, the more recent trackers have dropped that metric (although it is still available on some of the smartwatches) but that is definitely the best place to get your idea noticed.
In the meantime, you might like to have a look at the Custom Focus option (swipe all the way to the end of the options). The custom focus allows you to select 4 metrics to concentrate on.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums!

Hello @CScrutinizer and welcome to the Community. The best way to give feedback is through the Product Feedback forum. There is a post in the Community Blog that says Fitbit plans to make changes, but I don't think we will see that additional metric added back. I know that this suggestion isn't the answer you want, but think about this option. Adults average about 2000 steps per mile, so steps and distance are closely linked. You can choose a Custom focus and replace distance with floors.
Please vote for and leave a comment on this request in the Product Feedback forum. I'm not happy with these groupings, either. I want to customize my screen to limit scrolling, too.
