Hello and welcome to the forums @Rb72
Since the Fitbit wouldn't be moving, it shouldn't add more burned calories than your sitting on the couch watching a movie.
Keep on stepping!

The safety instructions do say not to expose your Fitbit product to extremely high or low temperatures. Though I can't seem to find an actual number for what is too hot. It shouldn't affect the number of calories counted but it may damage the hardware.
I think it will depend on where you live and what that temperature typically is during the summer. I live in Kansas and I'd be weary to leave my Fitbit in the car during the day.

@Rb72 This article on burned calories may help you. click to read
Depends on how much stepping you did the day before. When I'm more active and burn more, my base line is higher the next day.
See if that helps explain it for you.

I work as a field biologist in the Mojave desert, in temps reaching 125 at times, and my current Fitbit has survived for over a year and a half. They're pretty resilient.

I wore my Fitbit Versa in a very hot bath; and now it is not responding at all.
I've tried to reset it multiple times; and even tried to factory reset it. All to no avail.
Help?
