After Android 11 update, GPS not working on my Charge 3

I've never had an issue with the connected GPS until the android 11 update hit my Pixel 3a. Now, when I start a run, I see the "connected GPS is running" notification on my phone, but my Charge 3 still has the symbol indicating that it's searching for my phone. No other settings (bluetooth, gps permissions, etc.) have been changed. Has anyone else reported this issue and what was done to solve it?

Same with Versa. It's an Fitbit app or service issue with Android 11 (on Pixel 2 in my case).

 

As long as I keep the App running in foreground with the screen on, Connected GPS functions. Any sleeping of the App cuts off the connection to the Versa and doesn't capture GPS location data. I'm still hunting the internet to see if there is a solution...
