All-day sync will not stay on/takes forever to sync

Hello! I keep trying to turn my all day sync on and it turns itself off constantly. It says it's connected by Bluetooth it starts to sync, changes to "looking" then turns all day sync off again and I have to start over. I've deleted the app and re-downloaded tried a few other things. The thing just won't stay on, its very frustrating. Also, the app in general takes forever to sync and if I go off the dashboard for one second it starts the syncing all over again. Anyone have any info? Can we get an update? Something?

It's good to see you here @CMD483! that's actually very weird for the "all day sync" option to not stay on.  I would recommend for you to check if there are any pending updates for your Fitbit app in the AppStore for your iPhone.

If there are, please install them and reboot your iPhone after they complete the installation, if you continue to see this behavior please keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I am having the exact same problem. All day sync will not stay on.  Bluetooth is connected, I turn all day sync on and it goes back off continually.  And, it takes forever to sync

Hey there @Jolleen785! thanks for taking a time off stepping to visit our Community!  Do you also have the Fitbit app for iOS or are you using a different smartphone?  If you do, check for pending updates maybe your app just needs to be updated Robot wink

Also, remember to reboot your phone after any update.

Hope it works!

Hi,

I also have the "all day sync" won't stay on. It's an iPhone. The app is up to date with the latest version. I've rebooted the iPhone and Charge HR multiple times to no avail.

Any further ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

This is happening to me as well. I uninstalled the fitbit app, removed and re-installed my fitbit, and keep forcequitting the app. Nothing is working.

This morning I went into iOS settings and told it to "forget" the Charge HR. I then set it up as a new tracker, not a replacement.

So far today it's working fine; all-day sync staying on, syncs quickly.

I'll post back here if it breaks again.

@MikeWhitten those are great news! Could be that at the time you went through the set up again the latest firmware update was installed in your Charge HR fixing these issues.  I would like to also suggest the same procedure to @nicoledoliner 🙂

I hope everything works well, let me know if you have additional questions.

Well... it didn't last. A couple days later and the bug was back. All day sync would not stay on. I've since updated to the latest firmware. At the moment it's working ok. Time will tell.

I have the same problem.  I've checked for updates and restarted the iphone...it works for a bit, but then won't stay in the Always Sync mode.  Looks like from the feedback there really isn't a fix.....disappointing.

For the first time I looked at Apple watches...hoping the Auto Sync option should work on an Apple watch.

I’m also having the same problem plus I now don’t get messages on my tracker when I get a phone caller text. I cannot open notificationd on my iPhone and the app is telling me I need to pair. Any suggestions.

Try going into phone setting, forget the device then go into the app turn on all day sync let it pair.  Mine worked after doing this.  I have a iPhone 6s
