Always display steps first when looking at Charge 3 display

Is there any way to make it such that when I lift my arm to look at my Charge 3, step count is the default stat displayed? If I want other stats, I will swipe/tap. This is how it was on the Charge 2. My step count is the thing I am always most interested in. Currently when I first look, I might see calories, or floors, etc. I like being able to see this other stuff, but I want the first piece of information to be steps.

Any solution to this?

I agree this is a really annoying issue and would like to be able time, date and steps displayed as a default. I rarely look at the others on the watch as I use the app on my phone to look for other Stats. It is not as if the stats displayed is the last one I have looked at. If it is accidentally scrolling through stats why is it doing it? I want to see my steps! My previous fitbit models did not randomly display stats. Pleas fitbit sort this out

My wish for an analog dial with second hand came true for Charge 3.  With so many settings, timers, alarms, 3 minute breathing cycles, gosh, how hard could it be to place a radio button setting in the Fitbit app or the watch itself so I can pick steps to display first instead of stairs/floors.  Even if I tap to steps, next time it’s stairs first again.  This is not going to make me want to buy another Fitbit.

the telephone based customer service however is superb

This is an excellent response that clearly states the issue and the resolution.  I still experience the same issue and it's so frustrating.  It occurs whether I'm at work at my desk, on a walk, or elsewhere throughout the day.  It quite often displays distance/calories burned or steps/active minutes instead of defaulting to steps/heart rate.  Making us pick a different clock face or take other actions isn't the right answer from Fitbit.

If they don't change it, it could be my last Fitbit.
