An app is needed to use the device-Charge 4

Tried to sync my charge 4 to my new phone its all set up just keeps saying when my Bluetooth connection is looking for tge fitbit that I need an app to use the device. I have the app I even reset it can anyone help me with this issue?

Thank you for the information provided and for trying to resolve the issue with your Fitbit Charge 4 before contacting us.

 

Please try the following steps:

 

- From the Fitbit app go to the notifications section.

- If some permissions pop up, accept them.

- Turn off all notifications.

- Restart your phone

- Turn off bluetooth, wait 10 seconds and turn it back on.

- Sync your Tracker

I've had this issue for almost a yr. I've found a work around of turning on the Bluetooth after opening the app on my cell. It takes a bit longer to sync but syncs. I'm so disappointed with this charge 4. Wish my charge 2 never died.

  • Hi I've got the same problem that you are addressing here ,so I did what you said but I still can't connect my fitbit to Bluetooth still says I need an app? Can you help
