Android app takes long "looking for device". Will having lost registered Fitbits cause this?

I now have a Charge 3 to replace a lost device which itself replaced a lost device. This means I have three devices on my account.

The app can spend 2 to 3 minutes searching for my Charge 3. I have read elsewhere on the Community that multiple Bluetooth devices can cause this. Could this be the cause of my Charge 3 delay even although the devices no longer exist?

And if I delete the two lost devices, do I lose all my history? I hope not as the history goes back to 2012!

Thanks for any help.

Once a device syncs, it's data has gone to the centrtal Fitbit database in the cloud, keyed by your account/email.  As long as you use same account, data will always be there.

If you have multiple devices on your app, you must have changed Fitbit models each time because it does not let you have 2 of same model.  I would get rid of the unused devices.  Click on your profile pic at top left of main page to go to 'Account' page.  Select an unused tracker, then clock trash can icon at top right; then do the same for other unused tracker so you have only the one currently used.

Then on phone's bluetooth settings, check if those old fitbits are still paired; if so unpair them.

I don't know if that will fix your delay or not, but there is no point in having old unused fitbits still attached to your account.  Actually it might be doing a search for each of the 3 devices each time.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

My charge 3 was staying sync until the last 4 days.  Now can not get it to sync at all .  on my galaxy 10 phone the charge 3 keeps being drop off the Bluetooth.  I don't have or ever had any other fitbits shared on my Bluetooth.  Turning the app off restarting never helps.  Removing the app from the phone and reinstalling it works sometimes but that is very time consuming and it only solve problem for an hour or so.
