After too many issues with buggy software and stock answers from MegaGiant Google about how to fix stalled sync attempts, I am finally giving up Fitbit and moving on. I have had fitbits for years. They are great... when they work. But I can't even estimate the amount of time I have spent trying to trouble shoot software issues. The last straw was a charge 4 that started slowing down syncing to a crawl. Then last night sync finally stopped working completely. Followed the steps - even tried with shoes on, shoes off, standing up, sitting down for all the good these pat instructions from Google are. I think the message is that we are supposed to get so fed up we simply chuck it and buy another fit bit. Not anymore. Had enough and moving on. No more fitbit for this family.

I have recently spent a few hours trying to do the same thing, went threw every conceivable issue, including Android compatibility, update of Fitbit software on Android, restarted the phone, close and open Bluetooth on Android, Restarted phone, Deleted data from Fitbit (About section of Fitbit), phone see Fitbit as listed in Bluetooth, new Fitbit software on phone see Fitbit connects to it get a hash mark, trying to connect then fails and says try again. I am up to 15 th time trying. About to chuck this thing out and get something else, since I can get the FITBIT working any longer as it's in connection mode. All I see is a FITBT logo scrolling and a date 5/28/21 that says dowload or update the Fitbit as its scrolls the line. Will not start so that I can at least use it. Basically an ornament at this point, and only a 1.5 years old. Not impressed.
