Hi @Chelsea4

You sure it was stolen and not lost?

Fitbit can tell you if it's still linked to your email address. Get with customer support about this - click for contact options

@Chelsea4 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry to hear about your missing Charge 2. If your tracker was lost you can try these suggestions. Besides the suggestion @Odyssey13 shared, you can know if your tracker is still linked to your account if you still see its icon there. If it was paired to another account then it will be automatically removed. Finally there isn't a way to lock a stolen/lost device.

Let me know how it goes!

@AlvaroFitbit can you explain what you mean with " If it was paired to another account then it will be automatically removed"? Removed from where? Original owner's account? Is there anyway to prevent the device from being paired to another account until it is removed from the original account, thereby preventing the device from being useful if it is stolen or lost?

I am using Charge 3. Is there any improvement in this aspect compared to Charge 2?

I too have this question, following a friend losing their recently purchased one off their wrist in a park and having to give up all hope of ever seeing it again.  All I find is posts from over two years ago suggesting this as a feature of the app and gui.  It seems that the answer is no there is no such feature even though (1) your fitbit serial number is known to Fitbit and is visible with the web gui for your account, (2) Thus it would be very easy for them to hotlist / block / prevent removal from original account any stolen / lost devices thus encouraging their return using some suitable GDPR compliant process, or (3) a feature of the web gui to prevent detachment of the fitbit from the account.

How to see the serial number in the web gui:

-> https://www.fitbit.com/settings/data/access
-> DEVICES, View All Devices
-> Hover over the device name ... copy the link

-> The device serial number (as on your box) is part of the link.
https://www.fitbit.com/settings/device/tracker/<your fitbit's serial number>
