Is there any way to turn off the "motivational" messages that appear when the fitbit moves after standing still for a while? I find them annoying.

Don't look at your tracker for 15 seconds after you pick it up?

If you don't have anything useful to say, don't say anything.

@31415 Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! While @Mukluk4 is an option you can disable this by turning off the Chatter and Greeting features on your Charge 2 settings area under Tap Display. You can also check the tracker's manual if you wish to know more about its features.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you so much for that. Um, do you mean the settings on the iPhone app? I have Chatter turned off, but I still see these things. Thanks.

@31415 besides the chatter also turn off greeting (there should be an option for this). If this isn't showing then go to Fitbit.com on your computer (use the link in my previous post) to look for this option.

Keep me posted!

The 'chatter' switch under 'Greetings' is off on my phone. Actually I don't see either of them using the website from my desktop machine.

The link you sent was for the manual. I searched through it and couldn't find 'greeting' or 'chatter' in it.

@31415,

Are you sure you're talking about the Charge 2 and not the Ionic or Versa?  I know there's inspirational chatter on the Ionic (and know how to turn it off), but I don't remember seeing it on the Charge 2.

I hope this helps.

@31415,

Okay, it may have been introduced in one of the more recent firmware updates.  I'll take a look at it when I get home.

@31415,

I agree with @AlvaroFitbit, this is probably the chatter.  Once you have turned it off on the settings under the Fitbit App, you must sync your Fitbit before these settings will take effect.

If you think it is otherwise.  Please try to take a picture or at least jot down the text of the message to verify.

I hope this helps.

My app says 22.55.2. I'm assuming that's the firmware version.

Press and hold the button on your fitbit.  You should see notifications appear.  Press the button again to turn them off.

I hope this helps!
