Anyone still using a Charge 2 in 2023?

I'm considering buying a used Fitbit Charge 2. It's in excellent condition and I like the features and limited screen colors of this older model. Can a Fitbit Charge 2 still be synched up and function with modern iPhones? I have an 11 but will probably upgrade soon. I've also seen mention of the app being blocked with a reminder to update, then not being able to update as updates for the 2 aren't being made. I don't mind not being able to update as long as it works but don't want the app screen being blocked and want to still be able to use the watch as normal. Does anyone have any info on this?

Hello @ikome and welcome to the Community.  My daughter still uses her Charge 2 and treats it with tender, loving care.  A few months ago, I put my old Charge 2 back on my account to help a user troubleshoot a problem.  I had no problem putting it on my iPhone 13.  There is a big unknown when buying a used tracker.  You don't know anything about its battery health.  Rechargeable batteries degrade, even when they aren't used.  Many Charge 2s are at the end of their battery life.  This is true for other models, like the Blaze and Alta HR, that were released at the same time.  Buyer beware.

I hadn’t used my charge 2 for several months, it charged up fine but now isn’t syncing to correct time. It is showing dead battery on app but charged without any difficulty

I have had a charge 2 for how every old it is. The battery seems to run down quicker as it gets older. I probably won’t get anything new until mine just doesn’t work anymore. It’s would be worth it for you to get one.

My spouse's Charge 2 is still going strong, but starting to have some issues.  She wears it daily.

I do not have any Apple devices (Android User) but had I not lost my fitbit this past weekend I would be going on year 8 with my charge 2. Battery was lasting a little over 3 days before needing to be changed up but still my favorite. Hubby just bought me another charge 2 because I was so lost without it.

Hello, I have a Charge 2 which I use with my iPhone 10 it all works except for tracking the distance of my runs. It first worked when I brought my 2nd hand charger 2 earlier in the year, but now can’t get it to work.
