I am having the same issue with the Inspire 2, since the update 4.0.1 (40079081)

Since the update on the Inspire 2, there is no icon. My picture is in the upper right hand corner. When I tap on that, it does not show battery life.

Thanks all. I did notice a very small icon on the My Devices display but it isn’t as helpful as the percentage display easily displayed on the pull down menu. Just a note to the Fitbit programmers: easily viewing battery life is a desirable tool and should be more prominent.

I had the exact thing happen to me...my Fitbit worked 100% when I went to bed...the next morning the new app was up and my display is completely black. Customer service is non-existent if you are out of warranty...they will only give you a discount to replace. I am NOT paying for a new Fitbit when I paid $150. for this one 20 months ago...on top of the $80.00 for premium. They have lost a loyal customer but not loyal any longer.

I found an icon that I don’t recognize on the top left, and if you click on that, sinking status is a battery. It does not show percentage, but it does show a graphic. A percentage would be much more desired.

Goal: making it easier…should be the first rule.

Same here for Charge 2.  Looks like the battery strength indicator was actually *removed* by Fitbit.  Super disappointing, and will definitely make me hesitate to get another one...

Here's an irony. Like lots of other folk on the forums, over the past six years, my wife and I have had to replace Fitbit devices pretty much every year between us. We have repeatedly suffered the sudden death after around 2 years. Now my latest device, a charge 5, has loads of features that kill the battery in no time at all. So the features would just as well not be there if you want to run the device for a week (I track steps and sleep scores). So forget about always on displays etc. And now, with the latest version of the app, I get even less information about the state of the battery. This is a product line that is heading down the tubes. I definitely will not be buying another. Great shame as the reporting of metrics has always been consistent.

And I have just found a way to see a % battery charge figure (for now at least!). When I plug my Charge 5 into power, the device itself momentarily lets you see the % charge figure. A bit of a pain to have to do this regularly but better than nothing. I hope nobody from Fitbit reads this or the % will surely be removed in the next firmware update 🙂

I am having the same issue on my Inspire 2.  Some replies seem to say they can but I can NOT see battery % charge like you could before the upgrade.  Based on past IT issues with Fit Bit I doubt they will correct the problem.

I think that the Inspire 2 device only shows a battery icon which goes solid white when fully charged. The Charge 5 shows a % (for now at least). For me, the app also showed % up until Fitbit updated me to version 4.0.1. This version lost the battery % which earlier versions showed when you forced a sync with the device. It also has loads of empty space which, no doubt, a UI specialist said was the latest thing. However, you now have much less info on the screen at any one time and you need to scroll a lot more. Clearly an example of not listening to "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The previous version was much better in my opinion.

Thanks.

Yes, the % charge used to be there till this latest update that "improved" something.

Have a good day.

Please bring back the battery percentage.

This is what happens when IT Geeks" update" a system.  They know what we want. 😮

I preferred the percentage as you could plan when to take it off to charge. The new app does give an indication when you tap on devices and then on the tracker near the top of the screen it says battery full , medium or low. I also would like the information to be on the dashboard page like it used to be. After all it is pretty important information.
