App shows many more steps than my Charge 4

My Fitbit app shows over 55000 steps but my wristband says 4400. However, I’ve just used it for a couple of hours because it was charging this morning. So I would say I’ve walked more than 1500 steps. Finally, the it says I’ve walked 3km. I don’t know how to fix it or set it up to make it correct.

Hi @Rodmmc02. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for taking the time to share the details regarding your Charge 4.

Please confirm if you are using Mobile track. It is a service that allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit. Steps counted by your phone will be added to the count in the Fitbit app. You can "unpair" Mobile Track from your account.  On your Fitbit app go to the upper left corner, on the phone and device icon. Click on your phone icon and on the 3 dots and choose "unpair".
