I have tried all the suggestions to correct dim screen problems on my charge 4, which is less than a year old. I am currently researching replacements . I am so sick of this problem, I have to wear a watch in addition to my fitbit just to be able to tell the time, it still seems to track the steps and sleep but this is getting old, anybody have any new suggestions, ready to go to another vendor, fitbit seems to be totally unresponsive to fixing these problems . Ideas welcome.

this is happening to me too. screen just sooooooo dim, i cant see anything properly even indoor. Tried everything, disable sleep mode/DND, screen brightness set to auto/normal. I also saw mine sometimes can show at its peak brightness for a few second then go super dimmed again.
If I set brightness to dim, the screen is almost impossible to read in completely dark room.
Now I just use it for tracking only. Useless for any function that involved with screen.
I’m using 48.20001.100.76 firmware version and this latest firmware did not fix this issue.

Hi @FrankSun, To get to the Sleep mode, on you device scroll to Settings, then scroll down to Sleep mode, it should be in the off position, if it isn’t tap to change it to off. Hope this helps.

Hi @Gintas50 , That was how my previous Charge 4 was looking at 13-14 months then the screen went totally black after an update, I found out after, that they recommend going into your clock gallery in the app and changing your clock face to another. Once the face is changed on the device (hopefully the brightness increases) you can change it back. I hope this will help you.

Changing clock face is not working for mine. If that’s working for your case then it’s software issue that fitbit should fix.

Changing clock face don't do anything for brightness. It can be software because on auto setting and in bright light screen reaching visible brightness so screen ok I think, but that dim screen issue was on version .43 and still same on version .76. No reinstall, rollback of force update firmware on it so only solution left by fitbit is buy another watch. That screen issue scares me so much that I considering analog watch like withings scanwatch, but it's don't have NFC or GPS. NFC for me real deal-breaker...

My screen is also so dim I can't read it in the middle of the night in a dark room.
I've checked sleep mode and all the others, I've changed the clock face, I've restarted. Nothing. I'm also just about done with Fitbit. This is ridiculous.
