Are active minutes as accurate?

Can someone PLEASE tell me, I’ve just updated my Fitbit and I now have the ‘active minutes’ when I exercise. However since having this I all of a sudden don’t seem to be burning as much calories or get into fat burn (or above) zones as much as I did before the update (my tracker now detects ‘below zones’ heart rate A LOT more). My style of exercise hasn’t changed as all I’ve been doing home workouts during lockdown. Is anyone else having this issue? And apparently I can’t go back to the old version either. It’s making me want to get a different brand tracker altogether. So my question is, is my tracker now more accurate with the ‘active minutes’ feature and I’m fitter than I thought?

Are you sure you are still seeing 'Active Minutes', not 'Zone Minutes'?

Active Minutes were changed to Active Zone Minutes, and the heart rate zones get calculated differently, generally making it more difficult to reach the exercise zones.  This should have no effect on total calories burned, but if you are looking at calories burned while in exercise zones, they are probably lower from less time in the zones.

See What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?

and What are heart rate zones?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
