Hello @Bergholt welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I appreciate the information that was shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? I haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your Charge 2 following the next steps:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted.

I tried restarting Fitbit today, but still hasn’t registered average heart
rate. I am not sure when I accepted the new update but it seems to have
been around that time. My first run that did not show ave hr was on 31st
July. Does not show any problem with picking up heart rate in normal day
to day wear.

Hi,

I experience same problem since app-update from end of July, even though Fitbit is registering heart rate, avg heart rate is not shown in activity details anymore. In later updates problem has not been fixed, still only shows distance, duration and average tempo, where before average heart rate also showed, including graphics with duration in training zone and max heart rate.

Seems the app needs an update to fix this problem, one of the main features of the Fitbit is heart rate monitoring, without that it's merely a watch.

Kind regards,

Lennart

I’ll echo the others here. The iOS version of the app stopped showing heart rate in the exercise summary sometime towards the end of July (July 28th is the last time it showed for me). It has shown up in the automatically recognized walks since then but not in the gps tracked explicit exercise. I have tried to restart the Charge 2 but it didn’t help.

I am am thinking about upgrading but if this can’t be fixed, I won’t be upgrading to another Fitbit.

Thank you, it’s strange that it only effects readings on my running, but
still get the average heart rate for walks. Hopefully Fitbit will sort this
soon
