BRAND NEW Charge 3 Silent Alarm not working!

Just purchased a Charge 3 - silent alarm to wake me in the morning worked for one night and then did NOT wake me up the next night. Yes i did have it set to wake me every day, Yes, I have read ALL of the other posts regarding this issue, Yes I have tried ALL of the suggested ways to solve the issue and NOTHING helped. It does vibrate when I hit my step goal, and also to alert me to move so I do know it's vibration works. I cannot have this feature not work- I rely on it to wake me for work!

Extremely disappointed!!!

Actually mine has been working both yesterday evening and this morning, so I’m crossing my fingers it will continue working. But for you others that still have this issue I hope someone from Fitbit can help/solve the problem as I fully agree with you, you can’t trust the alarm as you should be able to do and that’s is bad.

I hope it will work soon.

I also have this issue, with the silent alarms only working for one day.

I try all the suggested solutions, and it works again for one day, then stops. Very irritating!!! It’s been like this for a week now, the app-update 2-3 days ago did not solve it..

Hi thanks for replying. Actually I updated mine when I purchased it, it indicated it needed the update. So mine only worked the first day. The second day it didn't vibrate on my wake up alarm. I came here and saw many others in the same situation so I tried all of the "solutions" I deleted the alarms and reset them - again worked for one day then the next morning nothing! I can't use the excuse I'm late to my boss that my "fitbit" didn't wake me up! Is there any information to resolve this so the alarms will work daily??

lol, the person creating the thread can mark it as solved, not fitbit.

there are a few threads relating to this, Mine seems fine still, I believe they know about the issue and are working on it

I'm having the same issue the last couple of weeks, so frustrating!! Being deaf I absolutely require the vibrating feature to work and was the primary reason why I purchased this device to start with. Useless if this isn't fixed ASAP!!

My Charge 3 alarm has frequently failed to work over the last 6 months (at least).  It's an intermittent fault where reseting the Charge 3 makes the problem go away for a while.  It always comes back though.

 

How am I supposed to use this to wake up if there's a chance it might not work ?  I've slept in more than once because of this and I've been thinking that they must be working on it, it's just a matter of time until a fix is found for this major issue.  There are multiple threads about it and most of them are still open, but no, customer support isn't even aware it's an ongoing problem.

 

I'm very dissapointed, I've been a fan of the brand since the clip thing you pinned to your jeans.  My Charge 2 had no problems but this is just a farce.

So...  Customer support sent me a new Charge 3, it arrived last wednesday evening and just une week later the silent alarm didn't work.  Of course it didn't, it's a problem all Charge 3s have, the only people not complaining are the ones that don't use silent alarms!

 

I have contacted customer support again, I won't let this slide, and no word of a lie, they told me how to turn it OFF and back ON again.  Can we skip the preliminaries and get to the part where you fix the problem in software for everybody or give me my money back?

I've just received another message from customer support saying:

"Thank you for following our instructions to turn OFF and ON again your Charge 3.  We will not be refunding your device.  Please turn OFF and ON again your Charge 3."

 

That's just bad

Having the same issues as well and very disappointed. Never had a problem with the Charge 2. This is actually disrupting my sleep because I have anxiety that the alarm will not go off add I get up frequently to check the time.

Up to about two weeks ago my silent alarm worked continuously and successfully.  Then it failed me.  I tried the suggestions from the site (deleting the alarm and setting it back up), but all I got was one successful alarm the next morning and then nothing after that.  All other alerts seem to work -texts, phone calls and messages, and even the RING notifications from my cameras. But the alarm to wake me up seems to be gone.

The latest firmware update specifically changes the way silent alarms work. Quite excited, I'll be testing this out as soon as my charge 3 updates and hopefully this will be the end of the issue.
