Badges earned not updating

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit seems to be stuck when it comes to number of times I earned a badge.  I have climbed 50 floors in a day quite a few times and my app always says "earned 2 times"

Anyone else having this issue or am I confused on how this is awarded.

Hey there @stephied333, hope you're doing great! Smiley Very Happy Badges reward your step-based activities, floors climbed, and weight goals. Note that while we work on new ways to reward cycling achievements, the distance earned by cycling with Fitbit Surge, Blaze, or Charge 2 does not count towards your lifetime distance badges or other step-based badges.

Step and floor badges are only earned while you wear your Fitbit tracker, meaning manually logged activities do not count towards step badges. Weight goal badges are earned for data automatically transferred from an Aria scale and any weights you log manually.

If you are already aware of the way the badges are earned, try doing the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Restart your Charge 2
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App

Let me know the outcome of this!

I'm having a similar issue with the badges. I've logged about 185 miles all while wearing the Fitbit, but I only have 1 26 mile and 1 70 mile lifetime badge. Also, I've updated my weight 4 times for a total loss of 9 lbs, and it gave me the 5 lb loss badge 4 times. I wish that were true...just the 9 lbs for now. I've tried the complete restart and no change. Thanks.

It's great to see you around @Rkopcik! Thanks for trying restarting your tracker already. Have you tried what I suggested here? I mean, the steps you have to do on your Fitbit App? Would you mind also checking if on your Fitbit.com dashboard you see the correct badges?

Thank you. I just realized the "lifetime" badges don't accumulate like the
others for multiple awards of the same badge. Problem solved. Thank you.

Great @Rkopcik! I'm glad to hear that. Smiley Very Happy

I have a similar problem. I have a badge for 25,000 steps in a day but not for the 35,000 steps taken October 26, 2019. I have tried your suggestions multiple times over the past 2 months. It seems inconsistent that the online dashboard recognizes the 35,000+ steps but does not give the badge. This also would not seem to be related to my phone since the step counts and badges are shown online.

I'm having the same problem described above, tried the steps, no luck. Any advice?

Followed all the instructions.  My badges are not being recorded.  Haven’t been since January.

Agree. The instructions don't work. Not like it is too complex for Fitbit to fix

Solved!

Mine seems to have stopped updating on July 12 of this year. I sync through the program on my PC.

I logged out & then logged in & now it works.

I am not getting any badges in spite of crushing the goals. I know many people are facing this issue. But why Fitbit is not fixing the issue 🤔😡

For me to get my badge of 20000 or 25000 steps A-day I have to uninstall and reinstall my fitbit app at the end of each day. There's gotta be something else I can to get it to sync.

This is nonsense because the error is in the data relationship to the account. All are being logged in properly and seeing the result but Fitbit is not performing as documented during batch processing
