Hi all! After two years I have 'upgraded' my Fitbit Charge HR to a Charge 2 two weeks ago.
I have noticed it's difficult to get a regular measurement on my 'sleep stages'. I have tried my left wrist and right wrist for a week but still I get just two or three days of 'sleep stages' and the rest of the time I only see my basic sleep details. The app says my tracker "couldn't get a consistent heartrate reading. But if I look at my "Heart Rate" stats from the same period it looks very consistent.
Any suggestions to improve the measurements? (I have read: What should I know about sleep stages?)

Hi
i am having exactly the same problem with my Blaze. It worked perfectly for the first 3 weeks and always showed the advanced sleep stages but for the past 2 weeks I always get the same message about not getting a consistent heart rate while I'm sleeping. But the time line showing heart rate info shows there is consistent heart rate info during the time I am asleep.
I have tried everything under the advice given, including restarting the Blaze and even going so far as to delete the app from IOS and reinstalling the app and the Blaze from scratch.
Could this be be a problem with the app itself? Seems like many people are complaining about this over the past few weeks.

Thanks, I see more posts on this issue now. I also did a reset but no changes noticed.

I'm getting the same trouble... Two nights of sleep stages followed by basic sleep info. My heart rate measurements also seem consistent through the night.
I'm a little dissapointed here...

Today when i started the appp I was logged out and i had to log again. After that I realised that my sleep log was without deep sleep , REM sleep and light sleep.

Same here. My Charge 2 suddenly started showing only basic sleep stages. Judging from the other comments here, it looks like a software glitch.

It's a right pain when things on the sleep app go backwards instead of being up to date, I loved the sleep stages because it gave you more information

Same thing is happening with my Charge 2. Went for months getting detailed sleep data and for the past couple of weeks it's back to basic info. Is there anyone to contact about this?

I noticed the exact same thing! My Charge 2 is about 1 month old...suddenly it stopped showing the sleep stages and models sleep the way Ronald M showed on his post.
I see he he wrote this in July so it's been one month now. I don't see any fix posted...has anyone been able to get it to record stages of sleep again?

@RonaldM, and anybody else without sleeo stages, tap on an offending sleeo record. This takes you to the detail page with an explanatuon of why your nit seeing sleep stages.

Thanks for the response @Rich_Laue but as I mentioned in my start post
"The app says my tracker "couldn't get a consistent heartrate reading. But if I look at my "Heart Rate" stats from the same period it looks very consistent.".
And I tried several different ways to hold my wristband to ensure good hart rate monitoring. So additional advice is welcome.

Hi
I had the same problem only with a Blaze device. I posted a separate topic in the Blaze area.
In the end I solved it by switching the watch to my other wrist. Works most of the time but sometimes reverts back to the old view.
Strange why that worked bit of did!
