Hi all! After two years I have 'upgraded' my Fitbit Charge HR to a Charge 2 two weeks ago.
I have noticed it's difficult to get a regular measurement on my 'sleep stages'. I have tried my left wrist and right wrist for a week but still I get just two or three days of 'sleep stages' and the rest of the time I only see my basic sleep details. The app says my tracker "couldn't get a consistent heartrate reading. But if I look at my "Heart Rate" stats from the same period it looks very consistent.
Any suggestions to improve the measurements? (I have read: What should I know about sleep stages?)
Last weeks results

This is so very frustrating, you’d think Fitbit would have worked out by now what’s causing it, but it’s obviously back to uninstall, reinstall, and reset keeping your fingers crossed that something will work

This works for me all the time:
1) Remove Fitbit and place it on the tightest part of your forearm without cutting off circulation
2) Start your Fitbit app and make sure your heart rate on the app is synced with your Fitbit (important)
You will have the detailed sleep info when you wake up.

@SunsetRunner Didn't work for me, I even bought a new wrist band size M from Fitbit hoping for a better fit. But still no sleep stages. I jus gave up just like Fitbit support did weeks ago..

I feel your pain. I gave up with CS months ago because nothing they suggested ever worked. I won’t be getting another Fitbit.

It actually stopped working for me as well. Only intermittently now. It appears that it has nothing to do with the Fitbit watches itself, but a problem with the app, especially when no one has issues getting the basic sleep info. Fitbit needs to create a fix for this issue.

I am still getting basic sleep details ever since last week of November/first week of December 2017. Has this issue ever been fixed? I have tried everything that has been suggested in the threads on here and that I could find with google.

Make sure you download the most recent update. Ever since I installed the update, it had been working fine for me.

Previously did that. Didn't work. And buying a new fitbit everytime it starts giving basic sleep detail isn't in my business plan for fitbit. 😜

Fitbit should provide the bugfix, then we will have correct sleep stages again.
A "problem" should be "not constistant heart rate", but I think this is bulls..... because they are supposed to work with HRV, to recognize sleep stages. Then there is NO problem with not constistant heart rate.
So long research for nothing......
So they changed the algorithm in February/March, because until then I have had the sleep stages!
And they are not able to correct that!
Very bad!!!

Hi fellow,
I also experiencing the same problem with my Versa, appear basic sleep details instead of sleep stages since the last 2 day.
Is it because of after updating the application???
Hope anybody can help to resolve this.
