All of a sudden last week my Charge 2 started going through numerous reset cycles, and I noticed that the green heart-rate monitor sensor was blazing constantly. I've plugged in for a full recharge numerous times and even after reaching 100% the battery will drain to 0 within less than 2 hours. Has anyone experienced this type of issue? Any way to rescue this device? Appreciate any advice!

I have had a similar problem. In the last two days, my Charge 2 will not hold a charge. The green HR sensor is constantly on and extremely bright, but that it is. It will say it is fully charged but the minute I take it off the charge it dies again. I have reset it repeatedly but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I have had this Charge 2 for right about two years now and I love it, so I really don't want to just scrap it. Is there anything else I can try???

Hi @Brittbit06 (cc @RicardoFitbit ). Sorry to learn that you are having same issues I had with your beloved fitbit. I'm equally sentimentally attached to mine! If you learn of a way to fix this issue please post it back to this message chain. I would love to know! I haven't received a useful response from fitbit-support ... they suggested I hadn't been charging the unit responsibly/properly... and then in follow up requested a pic of the HR sensor going nuts, but of course I cannot get even that much activity from this Fitbit now! Gah! So I've hit a dead end...

@Brittbit06 @RicardoFitbit BTW this was my 2nd fitbit. I had a flex for couple years prior. I'm starting to think that their deliberate life span is roughly 2 years at best. Annoying.

Mine started doing the exact same thing yesterday. It also is about 2 years old. It shows fully charged when I take it off the charger but then is completely dead within 5 minutes.
I’m wondering if it has something to do with the new update. My tracker has version 22.25.02 and according to the forms they just rolled out a new version.

I have the same version. I did receive an email from tech support, but unfortunately, they didn't have the best news. They believe that because I have already tried multiple times to reset my tracker that it is simply defective. They are checking on the warranty for me, but being that it is two years old I don't have a lot of hope. I just hate that this seems to be a common problem, and yet there isn't anything that can be done about it.

Support tried to be helpful, but it appears there is nothing they can do.
I still find it odd that there are suddenly a ton of posts on this form about Charge 2 trackers that have suddenly stopped holding a charge.
In doing more research in other places on the internet, it sounds like most wearable tech has a life span of only about 2 years. Which is also disappointing. I would expect Fitbit to be a better leader in this area.

Likewise. My HR light turned on overnight and someone turn off and the battery drains in about 20 mins!

I am having the exact same problem. I can't charge it enough for it to keep up. I also am on my second Fitbit and have about decided they are only good for 2 years. A big pain.

Hello
I have tried all these fixes and none of them work. My Fitbit is only 15 months old, so just 3 months out of the one year warranty.
I cannot even charge it now. I let the battery drain completely and tried charging and setting it up again today and the screen doesn't come to life anymore. The green light is still blazing for a little while after I take it off charge.
I am missing it terribly. 😞

Mine is only 15 months old... It really shouldn't be doing this so early on! I think I'd be more ok with it if it were 2 years old as that would be better value for money, but 15 months is not acceptable.

Guys what I would suggest to do is talk to Fitbit via the live chat option this was really helpful and went through the options live time to save waiting for a response, as they can see you account and what is happening with your fit bit. Mine was 18 months old and got offered another charge 2 or 50% off another Fitbit. I believe they come with a two year warranty

Seems that this has happened to many people. Clearly there is a device issue and the company is not willing to take much responsibility other than having their customer service reps offer a 25% discount on a new device. I think this company's ethical values are questionable and will be looking to purchase a competitor's device instead.
