Fitbit updated the firmware last night and now my battery of fitbit dies within minutes of charging. Its shows 100% charged and then drains put to 0 in five minutes of wearing it.

Now I have a case open with customer support. They want me to jump through hoops to troubleshoot. My device was working fine until the update. During that time, the date and time was "stuck" at August 24. On top of that, the unit would not charge.
I don't know why they want to look at this one case at a time. They should just roll back the update so we can charge our units and wear them again.

Problem is it's now in the tracker and if the tracker can't stay powered up or synched long enough how can you over write the corruption they sent?

Just found this thread, I'm glad to see it's not just my fitbit! Misery loves company...
The useless thing is now toast and drops to 0% in under 10 minutes. Customer support has recommended I take some steps to improve battery life such as turning off notifications.
...Really, Fitbit?

I don't know why they want to handle these on a case-by-case basis. There must be several hundred of us having the same problem. I have never had notifications on mine. It has worked fine up until last week! Now it won't hold a charge for 5-10 minutes. I found an email for one of the VP's of Fitbit and emailed him, so if he responds, I will post the response.

Hmmm... this could be a stunt for all of us to buy new Fitbit. I have the same problem after update as well. Battery get wonky, there’s a few lines on my face of Charge 2, initially it keeps vibrating and when button push the screen doesn’t light up. After many rounds of resetting it finally turn on. But nonetheless. I just charge 2 hours and lesser than half a day it’s 15%. Either that or the battery status on my Fitbit doesn’t telly the status on my phone too!

Haha, i Turnt off all notifications, took off auto sync locations etc and it's dead, so that didn't make any difference as i didn't even get time to check it to see how much battery I had left, and obviously didn't get my notification email or icon on Do But saying it was low. Now it won't even switch on

After submitting an open case with customer support, I have been offered a replacement tracker free of charge. They also sent me a certificate for 25% off a new tracker.
My suggestion would be to contact support and have a case opened.
