Battery is past it's useful life????

I have a charge 3, purchased summer (June or July) 2019.

In the last couple of months it seems the battery needs recharging every other day if not every single day.  Is this normal? Is there a shelf life for these things.  What do you advise?  Thanks in anticipation

It's possible that your battery is getting to the end of its useful life.  I found lifespan ranges from as short as 2-3 years to 3-5 years.  This type of battery loses lifespan with "deep" discharges, letting it get lower than 20-25%.  If you use the weather or agenda apps, do you really need them?  If you do similar walks, runs, workouts, etc., and use the Exercise app, could you get by with auto recognition?  I only do GPS tracking for new or important activities.  This might help you get some more time from your Charge 3.  But yes, all batteries have a lifespan.

Thanks LZee this is really useful, grateful for your reply.  Do you know where I should go to buy a new battery (or is an upgrade better do you think- my charge 3 is pretty old now being more than 3 years old)

Hi there!

I've just started having this problem, too. I don't know, but I'm thinking that there's no way to replace a battery on these. I think we're just going to have to suck it up and buy new ones. Mine is having other issues as well: no notification when I haven't met my step count; intermittent vibration so timers aren't working right either. Unfortunately, these things don't have a very long shelf life. It sucks! Good luck to you 🙂

Happy Holidays!
