Hello,
I went swimming yesterday with my Charge 4 and now it won’t hold a charge. It has been on the charger all day and night, except for the couple hours I had it on this morning before I noticed how quickly the battery drained (it went from 100% to 25% in under two hours.) I also restarted it through the app before putting it back on the charger a second time.
I have never had this issue with it before, but had a different Fitbit model that was supposedly swim proof do the same thing last year, which is why I got this one. My aunt has a Charge 4 and swims with it constantly with no problem, so I don’t know why I’ve gotten two that I’ve swam with and couldn’t hold a charge when I got out.
Is there anyway to fix this issue? I’m honestly kind of frustrated that I’ve trusted Fitbit’s products twice to track my swimming (which I do like once a year) and they’ve both failed. I love their design and the ease of their app, but I’m honestly thinking of looking at a different brand I won’t have to replace every time after I swim with it one time.
Thank you!

Hi
I have swam many times with my Charge 4 but last week I swam with it and I am now experiencing this same issue. Will charge to 100% but drains after a few hours. Any resolution appreciated.

As of today I also have the same issue - I went swimming with the charge on quite frequently in the last year, but after going swimming yesterday the battery drained from ~90% to empty over night. I charged it full in the morning and rebooted the device, but after 3h it was empty again...

I have Charge 5. I got it a few months back. I swam for less than 5 minutes, and now the stupid thing will not hold a charge. It's down and dead within an hour or two after removing from the charger.
Ha, oh so funny (NOT!), I was just in the setting planning to try restart to see if it helps, and there is a WATER LOCK SETTING which was OFF. Hey, thanks, FITBIT, I never saw anything about this water lock when I set it up. I WOULD have remembered, I would have noted it, since we have a swimming pool.
This irks me no end. Stupid F'ing thing!!!

Same issue with mine. I have killed 4 fitbits just by getting them wet. Charge 5, Charge 3, and can't remember the models of the other ones (older). All were supposed to be water resistant. Does anyone know of another brand of activity trackers that you can actually get wet?
