Bigger font size for steps and HR request

Overall the product has a sleek look and feel and the menu system is well designed. The initial charging and configuration were very straight forward and smooth. Fitbit made some great decisions choosing what to display and how. The Charge 3 has a fairly large display and offers a clock option with large font, readable without readers. However, the step count and heart rate font is too small and faint to read without glasses. Many folks at 40+ don't wear glasses during a workout, but want to access the step count and heart rate without glasses or accessing their phone. I am hopeful Fitbit involves some farsighted people in the product design and testing. The display is large enough to accomplish this and hopefully Fitbit will acknowledge the need.

@joef12345 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I appreciate your feedback and comments about the Charge 3 and the font of the display. I understand your point about this. I'd like to recommend you to submit your request in our Feature Suggestion board and people can vote for your idea. The more votes your request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineering team and developers.

I wish Charge 3 offered a display option showing heart rate only, in a large font.

The tiny font for heart rate is useless while exercising. First time for a Fitbit for me,and I've been excited waiting for the Charge 3,  but I may not keep it --  I cannot exercise with my reader glasses on, just so I can see the small heart rate.

@Sue_SB It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community! I appreciate your feedback about a clock face showing heart rate only. However, you can go ahead and create a request in our Feature Suggestions board as recommended in my previous post. I like your idea and I hope something like this can be implemented.

@Gammy512 Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit forums! I totally understand how you feel about this and I'm sorry for the experience you've had with your Charge 3 and you are planning to return it. As mentioned in my post above, you can vote for this Feature Suggestion, which requests more clock faces, including a clock face with bigger font.

I appreciate your time and understanding with this. Let me know if you guys have any questions! Smiley Happy

Agree completely. I exercise without my glasses but without my glasses the display for the HR is too small to see.  I changed the default display to one that shows a larger HR but it is still too small.  I will put submission on the Feature Suggestion board. This should be a very easy addition to the current selection of clock faces.

Within hours of making my comment I received a very polite reply from the moderator. In the reply I was told they do not plan on making the change. I really like most everything about the Fitbit Charge 3. It's a great product - except for the HR font size. I play soccer and workout in a gym and can barely see the numbers without my glasses. Because they are not planning to change the font size I have returned my Fitbit and I am shopping for a new device - probably something in the Garmin "Vivo" line.

Sorry Fitbit - you lost a customer

I agree! Especially for the HR feature as it would be far better in the larger font to see whilst exercising
