Bike ride distance not recorded

Hi

2nd day with the C3. I walked to my friends place, from where we did a 20k ride, back to his place, then walked home from there.

The auto-detection worked, recorded a walk, ride and walk (though no distance data). But when I go to the distance page, 2nd from left under big 'step' circle on app main page, only the distance I walked was recorded. Between the 2 walks, when I was riding there is nothing and the 20k was not logged.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

I've got plenty, first thought I'd that with an auto detected bike ride, no gps, there is no points of reference for Fitbit to know the distance.

You would want to use the multisport mode called Bike. This will connect the charge 2 to your phones GPS and record distance with a map.

You may need to add the bike mode.

Also, if you are talking distance on the daily total, that is only walking.  Biking distance is not included.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Ok thanks. I did another test, manually started activity on device and it tracked with the distance. I just thought it would do this automatically.

Cheers!
