I noticed what seems to be a discrepancy in calories exerted from my last couple workouts. Here's the situation:
Both yesterday and today I rode my bike on essentially the exact same trails.
Today I rode my bike 100 minutes.
Yesterday I rode an 170 minutes (that's over an hour more)
It doesn't seem to add up. How could an hour less time spent on the exact same activity possibly burn nearly 10% more calories?
Even if I were working harder (I definitely wasn't), that would be a significant increase in calorie burn for a shorter workout vs longer.
So I'm wondering if it somehow has to do with the "Outdoor Bike" label that Fitbit assigned my workout today, as opposed to the "Bike" label that was given to my workout yesterday. From my research on these discussion boards, the two are supposedly the same, but I cannot think of any other reason the calorie count would be so significantly different.
Note: My activities are synced via Strava.

@troydesh It's great to have you here!
Let me help you with your caloric burn discrepancy you are seeing on your activities. The type of activity that you do see on your account will influence how the activities are calculated. For example 30 minutes of swimming will be more intense than 30 minutes of walking. Between the two, outdoor Bike seems to be cataloged as a more intense activity. I suggest you record your activities now as outdoor bike and see if the discrepancy persists or if it shows a better calculation for your activities.
Let me know how it goes.

On the Versa 4 there is not a choice to select outdoor biking.. just biking. But I do get both plain biking and outdoor biking recorded in the app. I thing if my heart rate does get as high it records plain biking and higher rates record outdoor biking.

Hello @DDBJWI and welcome to the Community. I'm honestly a bit confused about the OP's post. Bike is a shortcut on the Exercise app. Outdoor Bike is on the list of auto recognized activities. Do you track your bike rides both ways?
