Black lines on Charge 3 screen

I'm having the same issue as many others on community forum with black lines on screen. I have tried all suggestions of restart etc and still no change. Has anyone managed to fix this issue. Many thanks

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for the information provided.

 

In addition to the regular restart we recommend performing a long restart:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again. 

 

If the instructions above don't work, please try to change the clock face of your Tracker:

 

  1. Tap the Today tabEdsonFitbit_0-1642470648363.png, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Unfortunately as stated I have tried all these checks before to no avail hence the post on here for any other suggestions.

Not only do I have black lines ... but my Charge 3 refuses to sync since yesterday ... what is going on??? ... Can anyone from FitBit respond??? ...

Hi - I am now on my 3rd Charge3 and the black lines have almost made the display unreadable yet again. I've tried all the fixes mutiple times (hard resets etc), and each time FitBit has replaced the pendant - this is obviously a known issue for them as they just kept replacing it with few questions asked. Last time I specifically asked for a contribution to an upgrade as I had no faith that the problem wouldn;t recur again. And it has. The display is too difficult to read so I now can;t set any alarms (as that has to be done on the device now and not the app). I also can;t read my heartrate during excercise. I can still sych data and look at it on the app, but it is not what I bought the fitbit for. I wish they would come clean and admit that this a is a widespread issue. I could probably get it replaced again, but it';s frankly too much bother. I'll just probably buy another one myself
