Blank screen on Charge 4

I found my old fitbit charge 4 recently and decided to charge it up for my partner to use. The screen is blank and I can't get it to turn on. I've tried holding the button whilst it charges but I get nothing. Device buzzes but still a blank screen. I have my current fitbit synced on my app so can't even try fixing on the app. Any advice?

Thank you for taking the time to share the details regarding the difficulty that you are experiencing with Charge 4. 

Please note that since the Charge 4 is not one of the newer devices Fitbit has developed, I believe the battery has reached the end of its life. However, I suggest you try the following troubleshooting steps for the battery in order to get it charged: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

In addition, please make sure of performing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you notice a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker: press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you notice a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
