Hi folks, My charge 2 is brand new and it simply won't charge. I've tried using multiple USB ports on my laptop as well as my Galaxy phone charger. It vibrates when I attach it to the ports and my phone appears to have located it but that's it! No battery icon, nothing on screen and simply won't sync. I've been reading through all of the help notes and none of them mention no icon at all. I don't believe that the contacts would be dirty as it is brand new and I have jiggled it to ensure that it is connected properly. I've tried holding the button down and just pressing it. Is it possible that I have a faulty tracker or charger? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Yes its possible to have a faultly tracker. I would take it back to where you got it and exchange it.
If bought at Fitbit then contact support

Update - my tracker was faulty and a local retailer swapped it for a new one. Thanks Wendy, I will. Wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed something first! Have a nice day. : )

I had a very similar problem with my new battery charger not working properly. I had to press on the back of the charger for the battery symbol to appear. I called fitbit and had a pleasant conversation with two people. They said the charger was loose and immediately sent me a new one. I had purchased my fitbit from Amazon. The new charger made all the difference.

Morning - thank you, it turns out that mine was faulty. I assume it was the tracker as there was no screen display but not 100% sure about this. I too purchased mine on line, however it came with a docket directing me to a local electronics supplier if faulty. I took it to them and it was swapped straight away for a new one. The new one is perfect! : )

Have got the same problems, on my second new charge 2, with this one got a few steps into the set up process before message saying not enough battery to continue, I had the tracker plugged into my laptop the whole time , but no battery icon.it buzzes when clipped to charger but nothing else. Have made sure it is in correct position, have pressed the back, nothing works. Is there no solution to this as can't believe that the trackers can all be faulty? Sorry can't help, have you given in?

I returned all of my 4 fitbits (they never worked). They were new. I complained. They replaced. The new ones didn't work.

I'm on my fourth one and in still having the same issues. I think they recycle these defective ones. This is getting OLD.

I was using the phone charger on my last 3 devices and the technician told me to use the computer and not the wall charger. This is very frustrating.

You should be able to add it through the Charge 2 settings. The same way it was added before.

Thank you! I couldn't get the battery icon. I didn't know my laptop screen should not be dark. Now I have the icon and it's charging
