Brand new charge 4 (less than 3 weeks old) says check charger battery not charging while I wear it

Like I said in the subject, I got a brand new charge 4 about 3 weeks ago. I’m overall quite happy about the device but it does discharge quickly and now it started randomly alerting me that it’s not charging while I’m wearing it. It also says it while charging it now. Any ideas?

Having exactly same issue, fitbit stops tracking runs, is unresponsive until plugged into charger but shows 18% battery power left, looking at getting another brand now.

@Mummahen , Nice to see you back. Thank you for keeping me updated . I'm glad that the restart helped.

@Masterofinsanit , Nice to see you here. Thank you for your information.

When you the Charge 4 stops tracking are you using GPS? This could explain why the tracker stope recording. As the battery to low is to keep the GPS Connection.

Have you tried restarting your Charge 4. It seems to have helped our friend Mummahen

I think it happens when I sweat, it has happened again, but was not as bad as before (possibly because we're in winter).

Yes when using GPS but usually no less than 35% battery, never had this issue on any previous fitbit

@tnz , Nice to see you back. Thank you for your explanation. As recommended before, please give us a call or chat with us. Our team will be more than  glad to have a look at this: Click here to get connected.

@Masterofinsanit , Thank you for your message and explanation. Does the situation occur when your Charge 4 is charged more? Have you tried it without the GPS ?

As stated before, if the battery level is too low the recording might be stopped to avoid that the trackers turns off die the low battery level. Remember that the GPS usage can cause that the battery drains faster.

Hope this helps.

I have had mine less than a year and it won’t hold a charge longer than 48 hours, even when charged overnight. Anyone else have this problem?

Bought hubby a Charge 4 for his birthday last year, discharges in 2 days!! What can we do to rectify this??

Are you suggesting that the battery must be seen as 'low' even before the Charge 4 states it is low? (it does that at 15%)

If so, why is either 1. the notification of the Charge 4 not being done when it is considered 'low' or 2. isn't the battery (management) not changed so it can function properly as long as it is not said to be 'low' or 3. any other solution.

What percentage should we consider as 'low' instead, while wainting for the proper solution?

If I interpret your message right you suggest the Charge 4 users to not use it below a certain percentage, this means the usable battery capacity is smaller than advertised/to be expected. This behaviour is considered "misleading".

@JuanFitbit The Charge 4 battery is considered 'low' (not even empty) at 15%. Your post suggest 15% is not the right value for considering the battery as 'empty'. What percentage should be considered as 'empty' and what percentage should be considered as 'low'?

edit:

This problem is adressed in this topic too:

@Gerwin1 , Thank you for your messages. It seems that there is a misunderstanding.

In order that the GPS records get fully recorded and that the tracker doesn't shut down during an activity that is using GPS, we recommend that the Charge 4 should at least have a 25 % battery charge.

Just keep in mind that the use of the GPS consumes the battery faster considerably.

Dear @JuanFitbit

As @Masterofinsanit mentioned 35% is not enough, I discovered tuesday last week that 44% was not enough and during my 5km walk yesterday it consumed almost 2/3rd of the battery capacity.

I'm allready charging it every other day (instead of every 7 days, as advertised)

This clearly looks like Fitbit has some serious troubles with their battery quality/selection and batterymanagement and possibly with GPS powerconsumption, in best case all the users on the forum who mention this are 'incidental'.
