Broken band conbector

My Charge 4 has once again, a broken band.  It is the unit connection that has broken so a new band isn't a solution.  This happened previously when the unit was about 8 months old.  I just tried to enter a claim and it seems my fitbit is out of warranty even though I just received this new unit in April 2021.  Does anyone have a way to fix the unit connection for the band or do I have a piece of trash?

My wife's Fitbit Charge 4 just failed on the body right where the band connected. It's just about 2 months out of warranty, but I tried to call Fitbit anyway, as they have been helpful in these situations in the past - waiting on a call back. I've also tried to raise an extended warranty claim through Citi.

Thanks.. Good news is I found a couple options on Amazon that are replacement bands that don't require connection to the unit.  It just snaps in.  Not totally attractive but for$15 I can use my fitbit again.  Will update once I get it.

I received my after market band.  It works just fine.  The fitbit does need to be removed for charging but it's a really decent solution for an otherwise useless Fitbit.
