Broken connector band - Charge 4

SOOO Disappointed my Fitbit band connector piece snapped this morning getting ready for work.  Not fixable.  really disappointed in this quality.  This is our 3rd Charge 4 connector to snap.  My sons snapped with in 1 year and was replaced by warranty however it snapped again and then he had to buy the rubber wrist bands you put the fitbit face piece in.  He doesnt like it - feels clunky.  My fit bit charge is 22 months so Im past warranty.  Its terrible that its so poorly made they snap like this after such a short time!  I Dont want a clunky rubber band like my sons.  any other options?

I am among apparently the legion of people for whom the connector little plastic piece broke.  I have five stylish nice bands I have bought for my Charge 4, and the Charge 4 itself is working just fine.  I bought it on Amazon 22 months ago.  If anybody sees this who got some satisfaction from Amazon - how did you contact them to report this?  I fear that with 22 months I won't get any help from Amazon either.  I love my Charge 4 but as others have reported, I have previously purchased Fitbits only to have problems after pretty short timeframes.  Sadly, I may need to abandon the nice bands I bought and figure out another band.

I got no help as it was 18months from the date of purchase of the original tracker but only 6 months from the day the replacement was sent. Got a coupon to buy a new tracker. Had to glue one of my bands to it and abandon the rest.

Please advise on where you got the band . I would still like to use mine if possible.

I ended up returning it under extended warranty.

There are bands to insert 'watch face' into if you have no other options.

I have provided screen shot of one such product which come up in my search.

Had my connector snap off tonight after 16 months of use and I thought it had also ruined the Fitbit sports band as well, but it feel free of the socket. Live chat handled it pretty well, explained and sent a photo and they were happy to offer a replacement. I was mailed the link and given the option of 50% off something new or replace my existing Charge 4 by completing the form. It was only after I finished, I was notified the Charge 4 is no longer available so being given a Charge 5 instead.

Overall, disappointed it broke so suddenly but hopefully the Charge 5 proves tougher.

Lucky you! I'm still gutted that they wouldn't replace mine so will be
choosing another brand

Lucky they offered you a replacement. Told me that it is past warranty (1year) so 35% discount on something new.

Mine broke after a year or so. They send me a replacement. That broke in a few months. I have a clunky 3rd party band that holds the watch. Don't like it.

What's the best move here? Charge 5 does not seem to be any better in terms of the band attachment point breaking.

Jan, I hope the Charge 5 band connector is working for you. That is the same design as the Charge 3 band connectors. They didn’t hold up under normal use either. Hope you have better experience.

Mine too. Poor design - I expect better from this company.

Hi this is my second one that's broken, I am interested in the chunky band as it's better than my current workaround of using a sweatband to hold it in place on my wrist 😞  could you supply info please

I was in the park today and my connector broke as well. Just bought a brand new band. Somewhere between when it snapped and the car, I lost it. So sad to not only be out of a fit bit but a brand new 2 week old band. So disappointed.

Hi, I bought one of these from Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silicone-Compatible-Replacement-Wristbands-Smartwatch/dp/B0B2DL62Q4/ref=sr_...

It's a bit chunky, but it works all right.  Had mine for more than a year now.  Definitely feels more robust that the Fitbit original strap.

Perhaps if more Fitbit buyers were to put reviews about the appalling quality of the connections of the strap and deter people from buying Fitbits, it might lead to Fitbit doing a proper improvment to their product.

Hi Blubuggal, please see my post below for info on a replacement strap.
