I am loving my Fitbit! However, my wristband broke recently. The buckle broke through its holder, rendering it useless and unfixable. I am concerned that, even if I get a new one, it will be an ongoing problem, since I've had it for only a few months. I should mention that I bought it used on eBay, so it's possible that it had had some wear before, although it arrived in very good condition. Any help will be appreciated!

Hi @SunsetRunner first time I've heard of this happening to the buckle portion of the band, so it might just be from use. Why not buy a new band as it has a warranty that would cover such breakage.

I have had a second broken band as well within a year - mine is still under warranty. This seems to be a poor problem with a good product. I went to support and it says maximum claim reached - I have only had one claim that was for the 1st band replacement. I think it should be replace within warranty and what worries me is how often it will keep breaking twice in first year.
i don’t do any strenuous exercises, just walks.
now is the warranty not available on the rest of the Fitbit as well?
appreciate a quick resolution as I can’t use it at the moment.
Thank you

Hi @Cruisewalker the warranty begins the day it was purchased, so a new band only has the remaining warranty period. click to learn more.

Hello, happened with mine too. I'm sorry, but happening to one is an accident, two is a concerning problem and to three of us is a defect. Is there any way to exchange it for one that doesn't break in 6 months?

@June1970 you can always ask Fitbit customer support for another band, but the warranty policy is pretty much one year (two in some European countries)
