My charge for has been saying that I’ve been burning calories even when I’m not wearing it. It also is detecting heart rates when I’m not wearing it. When i wear it and work out vigorously it says my heart rate is 60. When i manually check it my heart rate is 145. I’ve tried multiple times to contact support but i seem to get nowhere. Just a lot of try this or try that but no solutions or explanations….. anyone else have a solution for me?

Hi @Sarahbee5 burned calories come from your BMR (base metabolism rate) which comes from your gender, age, height and weight. It is merely the calories burned from breathing and moving, which your Fitbit knows from the time you set it to your account. It's perfectly normal and the more active you are, the more calories you burn. You can't turn this feature off, unless you remove it from your account. You don't need to wear it for the burned calories to show.

I don’t want to turn the feature off but it’s odd that i forget to put it on one day at it says I’ve burned 2600 calories. This also doesn’t solve the heart rate discrepancy

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Sarahbee5 and thanks for the heads up @Odyssey13. Thank you for letting us know that your Charge 4 registers calories when you're not wearing it and that is not registering your heart rate accurately.
I noticed that you're still in touch with our Support Team and that they are still assisting you. Please follow their instructions and advise in order to get a resolution.
