@Terye Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your notifications not showing on your Charge 2. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

By the way is that your dog on your profile picture? Its a beauty and if it is your dog say hi to him/her for me.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi there. Thanks for replying. Before I consider removing all Bluetooth apps & restarting my phone will doing so delete any history of those items? Like my Charge 2 history (2.5 years), blood sugar history, photos, etc.? I have an iPhone XR which should be ok. I tried the Charge 3 for a few hours & it was displaying incoming messages & phone calls. I couldn’t find any difference between either setting of Charge 2 & Charge 3.

Thanks,
Terie

PS
It’s a nice sweet dog in my photo but it was a lost dog that was placed in my office temporarily.

Your not removing the tracker from the Fitbit app, only the phhones Bluetooth, plus your data is always stored on the Fitbit server in the cloud.

Your not removing any apps. Just the devices listed under the phones list of trusted Fitbit devices.

Good news! My Charge 2 is displaying calls & messages. It finally started working on it own. I had this device for 2-1/2 years and this is the first time I’ve seen it.

Thanks for your help.
