Calories and food log calculations

I am totally mystified by how these stats are arrived at -can anyone clarify how I should interpret?

Example

My dashboard screen shows 2742 cals burned, the food tile shows 1181 cals eaten with 1196 left. Now when I tap the food tile to access the food  log  it shows 1181 cals  in and 2739 burned but, with 1094 cals left.

I have set 500 cal deficit as I want to lose 1lb per week.. I've also calculated my BMI as 1260. Can anyone assist with my learning???
