Calories burned - manual addition of exercise

Ok, I have a charge 2.  Today I tried an experiment.

I did a brief "morning energiser" - mostly stretching and limited running on the spot,  total17/18 mins.  This was not enough to register automatically as exercise. So I tried to add it under "log previous".  The app suggested this exercise amounted to 16 calories.  But, I wondered, was this additional to those calories already recorded in the "calories out" in the food logging section.  So I tried taking the exercise out and adding it back in order to see what happened to the "calories out" number.  To my surprise the number fell when I added the exercise.  At worst I expected the number to stay the same.  Why should it fall?

@CB55 It's great to see you in the Community!

Let me help you with your calories logged for your activity. This seems like a low number for your activity. If you feel the calculated calories are incorrect you could try using an online calorie calculator to see the amount it shows for your activity and personal information and use this to log your activity on your Fitbit account.

Let me know how it goes.
