I haven't been walking as much as I do in NYC because well, we are on lock down. I decided to charge my fit bit and I've noticed in the mornings, the calories are not reset back to zero. This has never happened before. I'm not wearing the fit bit at night so how is it even doing this? Does anyone know how to fix this? I did already send an email to customer support.

Do you ever look at your tracker at midnight to be sure calories are not resetting to zero?
Are you considering BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive. These are credited even when you are not wearing the tracker. So if calories reset to zero at midnight, they would then start increasing from zero, reflecting your BMR calorie burn.
See How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?

I could of sworn my calories start when I start using the Fitbit. I do not recall ever having such a high calorie burn early in the morning. I’m sure I would have noticed that. Maybe it’s part of the new update? I guess I’ll wait to hear back from Fit Bit! Thank you!
